What happened to the 1060 charter between its creation and its arrival at Hertfordshire Archives? In this illustrated talk we uncover the story of the discovery of our oldest document and learn more about the Wittewronge family of Harpenden in whose papers it was found.

In addition to our week day opening hours we also open on the 1st Saturday of each month, from 10am to 2pm. We're open until 7.30pm on the first Tuesday of each month by appointment only. Contact us by 9am on the previous Friday to book. Customers are welcome to bring their own flask and refreshments to eat in our foyer area. Water cooler (bring your own re-usable cup or bottle). Purchases can be made from the Heritage Shop in person or through our e-store.
