A full day of in-person specialist RSE training exploring how to deliver an inclusive and accessible curriculum. Aimed at PSHE / RSE leads, teaching staff and members of the senior leadership team in Hertfordshire secondary schools.

This interactive workshop style training will cover:
- The requirements of the statutory RSE guidance
- An opportunity to consider teacher values around teaching RSE
- Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Considering data from young people about their perceptions of RSE and what they tell us about what they need and want from the subject
- Exploring effective ways to teach about key topics including consent, sexual harassment, positive and negative relationships, and pornography
- Identifying ways to bring your school community together to ensure a consistent, positive approach to relationships and sex education.
Participants will work collaboratively with colleagues from across Hertfordshire, and will take away ideas, cascadable CPD activities to carry out with colleagues, and a digital copy of the slides.
This course is free to attend and has been funded by Public Health Hertfordshire, Hertfordshire County Council and will be facilitated by the Sex Education Forum.
