This whole day RSHE training is aimed at teachers and support staff who work directly with children in secondary settings It has a focus on pupils who are identified to have SEND, looking out how individual needs and differences across areas of SEND may be best supported and how we develop skills alongside families and CYP.

This aims of the training will be:
- What Relationship, Sex, and Health Education (RSHE) is, why it is important and what the law is.
- What key stakeholders (children and young people, parents and teachers) have said about RSHE.
- Underlying principles for successful RSHE for learners identified with SEND.
- Exploring the psychology of relationships, emotions and groups.
- How to engage and collaborate with stakeholders when planning RSHE.
- Ways of supporting staff and parents with RSHE.
- Discussing and exploring resources
- Linking RSHE to school culture and policy.
- A safe space to explore RSHE in a nonjudgmental way.
This training is funded by Public Health Hertfordshire for Hertfordshire schools and free to attend. It is suitable for any staff working in secondary school settings and directly with young people including Teachers, Tutors, Pastoral staff, Learning Support Assistants, SLT, RSHE Leads etc.
The training will be followed up with an online reflective supervision session for attendees in the summer term on Monday 28th June.
