    By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

    1. Summarise the national policy direction, including key components and implementation timelines of the Tobacco and Vapes Act 2026.
    2. Recognise how national policy translates into local action.
    3. Interpret current trends and evidence on youth vaping and understand how the Hertfordshire Vape Brain Campaign has challenged misconceptions to prevent uptake and support quitting.
    4. Maximise the impact of the Stoptober 2026 campaign through targeted, evidence-based messaging and promotion of local support services to reduce smoking prevalence and tackle health inequalities.
    5. Apply learning from local best practice that demonstrate effective methods to engaging high need populations and delivering successful quit outcomes.
