This is a recorded online session that covers the elements of stop smoking brief advice showcased in a 38 minute video. This shorter session would suit professionals who want to enhance the brief interactions they have with patients / members of the public.
Information about this training
BA is a 30-second intervention that can be delivered by all healthcare professionals in almost every consultation with patients who smoke. BA involves asking patients about their current smoking, advising them on the best methods of stopping smoking available to them and helping them access evidence-based stop smoking support.
This recorded session touches on basics of behaviour change, having healthy conversations and some key questioning skills with service users and is run over 1 hour.

Who is the course aimed at?
Aimed at professionals (HCC, NHS, GPs, Community Pharmacies, Healthy Hubs) Carers, volunteers, voluntary sector organisations who have conversations with people about stopping smoking and making changes.
