Target Audience:
All staff, volunteers, family carers, direct employers and their PA’s working with people with learning disabilities
Aim:
To develop a basic understanding of Learning Disability
Learning Outcomes:
- To gain an understanding of the definition of learning disability
- To understand the causes of Learning Disability
- To be aware of the key legislation, policy and guidelines relating to Learning Disability
- To understand the common types and prevalence of Learning Disability
- Be aware of some of the barriers faced by people with Learning Disability

Parking
Parking is available on site.
Hertfordshire Development Centre (HDC) is accessible by public transport, being approximately a 10-minute walk from Stevenage bus and railway stations. This link provides directions to the venue.
Parking spaces for HDC delegates and visitors will be available on both the upper level and in the underground carpark; blue badge spaces are available on the upper level, outside the main entrance.
