    9.30am - 3.00pm

    Target Audience:

    All care/support staff supporting people with learning disabilities who have epilepsy where the use of Buccal Midazolam is required

    Aim:

    To provide you with an understanding of epilepsy and the administration of rescue medications for this condition.

    Learning Outcomes:

    • Identify different seizure types, current terminology, record keeping and epilepsy care.
    • Recognise risk assessment in relation to epilepsy care and management.
    • Recognise the psychosocial implications of a diagnosis of epilepsy
    • Familiarise yourself with current best practice guidelines and protocols for the administration of Buccal Midazolam.

    Parking is available on site.

    Hertfordshire Development Centre (HDC) is accessible by public transport, being approximately a 10-minute walk from Stevenage bus and railway stations. This link provides directions to the venue.

    Parking spaces for HDC delegates and visitors will be available on both the upper level and in the underground carpark; blue badge spaces are available on the upper level, outside the main entrance.
